The lead plate needs to be 4 to 5 mm thick to protect against radiation. The main component of lead plate is lead, its ratio is heavy, density is high; Lead plate is a kind of plate made by mechanical pressing metal lead ingots after melting. It has the functions of radiation protection, corrosion protection, acid resistance and preventing X-ray and other ray penetration. At present the thickness of common lead plate is 1 to 10 millimeter, the lead plate that is used for ray protection technically, thickness is in commonly 4 to 5 millimeter left and right side can prevent radiation effectively.

It has strong corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, acid-resistant environment construction, medical radiation protection, X-ray, CT room radiation protection, aggravation, sound insulation and many other aspects, and it is a relatively cheap radiation protection material. The common thickness in China is 0.5-500mm, and the common specification is 1000*2000MM.
